…with plenty of visiting champions!

Maser (Treviso), 04 September, 2013 - Sidi Sport enjoyed fantastic success with its participation at Eurobike 2013, one of the most important international trade fairs in the world dedicated to bikes, which took place in Friedrichshafen, Germany, from August 28th to the 31st. There were a total of more than 45 thousand specialized visitors who work in the sector in attendance, representing 111 countries; add to that more than 20 thousand enthusiasts who swarmed to the expo pavilions on the Sunday open to the public. This was an important showcase for the Sidi brand, both from a business standpoint as well as from a media perspective, considering there were more than 1800 media representatives there from every part of the world.
At the Sidi stand visitors could get a close up look at all the models in the Sidi Sport collection for 2014, including headliners like the Sidi Wire Carbon, the top of the line shoe for on road racing, and the Sidi Drako Carbon, the top MTB model which just repeated a cross country World Championship feat last Saturday in South Africa with their great champion, Nino Schurter.
<As always, Eurobike is an essential meeting, explains Rosella Signori. It’s a chance to present our new collections to businesspeople and media from the sector as well as to find out what’s going on in the universe of the bicycle as we get ready for the next season. It is also an important opportunity to consolidate pre-existing business connections as we try to make new contacts and widen our horizons throughout the world.>
Plenty of visitors made a stage run for a visit to the Sidi Sport stand, thrilling the throngs of fans there who were vying for photos and autographs. This was the case for Filippo Pozzato and Damiano Cunego, the two stars from Team Lampre-Merida, where all the riders wear Sidi shoes. This visit to Eurobike seems to have brought some good luck to Filippo Pozzato, who went on to win the GP Plouay which was held on Sunday on the roads of Bretagne. As always, his inseparable Sidi Wire shoes were on his feet. It was a very important victory for Pippo, especially considering that the World Cup inFlorence is just around the corner...
Another much appreciated visit came on the part of Elia Viviani from Team Cannondale Pro Cycling, which is the other entirely Sidi-branded Pro Team formation, home to the super-strong German “pistard” Kristina Vogel, winner of the Olympic title for team speed at London 2012 and two World titles. There were also lots of other pedalling stars from the current scene, like Swiss biker Thomas Litscher, already a World Champion among the juniors and the under23 group, as well of some names from yesteryear, like the two cycling greats Paolo Savoldelli and “Cecio” Rubiera, and German ex biker Mike Kluge.
